The film uncovers a hidden chapter of Black Canadian history in rural Ontario. In the 1930s, a farmer buried the headstones of an African Canadian cemetery to make way for a potato patch. Decades later, efforts to restore the cemetery in the 1980s brought buried histories to light, raising complex questions about race, memory, and whose stories are preserved.
