The Africans & African Descendant Friendship Club of St. Albert (AADFC) works to project African cultures and history to St. Albert residents through events, to preserve our cultural heritage for our children. Seek opportunities for members of our community to give back through volunteering. Finally, to support each other towards integration and settlement into the greater St Albert community. With over 800 people of African Descent living in St. Albert, our club has over 160 people that identify, support, and attend our events.
We welcome applications to the Board of Directors for the 2023/2024 year. The Board term is renewed yearly. Currently, the board meets at least once every two (2) months but communicates regularly on the WhatsApp App, text messages and emails. We are a working board requiring a minimum commitment of five (5) hours per month including volunteering and attending community events.
